1. Current app behavior
Elegant Planner stores task titles, notes, schedules, completion state, templates, preferences, and focus information locally on your device by default. If you choose iCloud Sync or Shared Checklists, the content described below is also stored through Apple's CloudKit service. We do not operate behavioral advertising or sell planning content.
2. Calendar access
If enabled, the app requests read access to calendars you select. Events are displayed alongside tasks and are not modified. Calendar titles, attendees, locations, and notes are not sent to Elegantmind analytics.
3. Notifications
Task reminders and optional daily planning nudges are scheduled locally through your operating system. You can disable notification permission in device settings.
4. Voice Planning
If you use the Pro Voice Planning feature, Elegant Planner requests microphone and speech-recognition permission only when you choose to record. A visible recording state is shown. Recognition is required to remain on your device; if on-device recognition is unavailable for your language or device, the app offers editable manual entry instead of uploading audio. Voice audio and transcripts are not sent to Elegantmind, are not used for advertising or analytics, and are not retained after the Voice Planning flow ends. You review and approve every proposed task before it changes your planner.
5. Website data
This website does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, account registration, or contact forms. To understand aggregate page traffic, it uses our hosting provider's cookieless web analytics (Vercel Web Analytics), which records anonymized, aggregated page views and referrers without cookies, persistent identifiers, or tracking across sites. The hosting provider may also temporarily process standard request data for delivery and security.
6. Pro subscriptions
When Pro purchase options are shown, subscriptions are sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's StoreKit provides the available products, localized prices, trial eligibility, and current entitlement directly on your device. Elegantmind does not operate a purchase-verification server for this version, does not create a planner account or installation identifier for purchases, and does not receive your transaction identifier or payment-card details. No task, note, calendar, reminder, voice, or focus content is involved in a purchase.
7. Optional iCloud Sync
iCloud Sync remains off until you explicitly enable it. When enabled, supported task fields—including titles, notes, schedules, completion state, recurrence, colors, icons, and reminder settings—are stored in a private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account so your Apple devices can stay up to date. This content is sent to Apple iCloud, not to an Elegantmind entitlement or analytics server. Turning sync off stops future synchronization but does not automatically remove records already stored in iCloud. Use “Remove Data from iCloud” in the app to request removal of Elegant Planner's private CloudKit zone; local tasks remain on your device.
8. Shared Checklists
When you create or accept a Shared Checklist, its title, icon, color, items, quantities, notes, completion state, and modification date are stored in CloudKit and become visible and editable to the people invited to that checklist. Apple manages the invitation and participant access through iCloud. Elegantmind does not receive the checklist content or the contact details used for invitations. Removing a participant or stopping sharing changes future access; copies, notifications, or device backups already controlled by a participant may remain subject to Apple's services and that participant's actions.
9. Service providers
Apple provides App Store billing, StoreKit subscription status, private CloudKit synchronization, and CloudKit sharing. Vercel hosts this website and provides the aggregate analytics and security processing described in section 5. Elegant Planner contains no third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDK.
10. App stores
Apple and Google independently process store accounts, payments, taxes, refunds, and related purchase data under their own policies. Elegantmind does not receive payment card details.
11. Data controller
The controller responsible for the data described here is Elegantmind LLC, a Texas (USA) limited liability company, 2310 N Henderson Ave, Ste B, Dallas, TX 75206-7388, United States. Privacy inquiries: support@elegantplanner.app.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, our lawful bases include performing the subscription contract, providing app functionality you request, protecting the service, and consent where required. Where the California CCPA/CPRA applies, we do not sell or share personal information and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To exercise a right, email support@elegantplanner.app. Most planner content is controlled locally or through your Apple Account rather than held on Elegantmind systems.
13. International transfers
Apple and Vercel may process data in countries described in their own terms and privacy notices. Elegantmind does not transfer planner content to its own backend. Optional iCloud Sync and Shared Checklists use Apple's CloudKit service and the Apple Accounts of participating users.
14. Retention and deletion
Local planner data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app, subject to device backups you control. iCloud records remain until removed through the app or your Apple Account, subject to Apple's retention and backup practices. Disabling sync alone does not delete existing private iCloud records. Shared Checklist records remain in CloudKit until the owner deletes them or stops sharing, subject to Apple's services and participant-controlled copies or backups. Apple retains subscription and transaction records under its policies. Vercel may temporarily retain standard security and delivery logs under its policies.
15. Children
Elegant Planner is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect planning content from children.
16. Changes
Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice.
17. Contact
Privacy, legal, or support questions: support@elegantplanner.app.
18. Local routines and planning suggestions
Saved routines and planning preferences are stored on your device and used to provide the planning tools you choose. Routine definitions are not automatically synced by the app. Tasks you explicitly create from a routine follow your existing iCloud Sync setting. You can remove saved routines without deleting scheduled tasks. Device backups may contain locally stored app data.
19. Optional Apple Reminders import
If you choose to connect Apple Reminders, Elegant Planner requests access through Apple's operating system. Although the system permission permits reading and writing reminders, Elegant Planner uses this feature only to read and copy the incomplete, nonrecurring reminders you select. It copies titles, notes, list names and due dates into your planner, and keeps a derived identifier to reduce repeat imports. It does not modify or delete the originals, import their notification settings, or continuously synchronize changes with Apple Reminders.
Imported tasks are stored like other planner tasks and are included in private iCloud Sync if you have enabled it. Import content is not sent to Elegantmind's servers or behavioral analytics. You can revoke Reminders access in device Settings; this stops future reads but does not remove tasks already imported. Delete those tasks in Elegant Planner if you no longer want them.
