1. Current app behavior
Elegant Planner stores task titles, notes, schedules, completion state, templates, preferences, and focus information locally on your device. We do not operate behavioral advertising or sell planning content.
2. Calendar access
If enabled, the app requests read access to calendars you select. Events are displayed alongside tasks and are not modified. Calendar titles, attendees, locations, and notes are not sent to Elegantmind analytics.
3. Notifications
Task reminders and optional daily planning nudges are scheduled locally through your operating system. You can disable notification permission in device settings.
4. Website data
This website does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, account registration, or contact forms. To understand aggregate page traffic, it uses our hosting provider's cookieless web analytics (Vercel Web Analytics), which records anonymized, aggregated page views and referrers without cookies, persistent identifiers, or tracking across sites. The hosting provider may also temporarily process standard request data for delivery and security.
5. Optional Pro purchases
Pro is not yet available; before purchases launch this policy will be reviewed and updated. When Pro is enabled, verifying a purchase requires a minimal, purpose-bound set of billing data: an anonymous installation identifier, app-integrity (App Attest) verification data such as the key identifier, device public key, and attestation evidence, Apple or Google transaction identifiers, product and entitlement status, environment, and security signals such as rate limiting. Administrative changes to the service are separately recorded in an audit log with the responsible staff operator's identity. Server logs, including a shortened or truncated IP address, are processed for security and debugging. No task, note, calendar, or notification content is ever part of purchase verification. This data is used only to deliver and protect the purchase — never for advertising, tracking, or sale — and the App Store privacy label will declare "Purchases" and "Identifiers" accordingly, linked to your installation and not used for tracking. If optional Pro features that back up or synchronize planning content across your devices launch in the future, they will be opt-in and encrypted, and this policy will be updated before any such feature ships.
6. Service providers
When Pro billing is active, purchase data is processed on our behalf by infrastructure sub-processors — Google Cloud (hosting and secret storage) and Neon (database) — contractually bound to process it only to provide the service. App stores are addressed in section 7.
7. App stores
Apple and Google independently process store accounts, payments, taxes, refunds, and related purchase data under their own policies. Elegantmind does not receive payment card details.

9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, our lawful bases are performing the purchase contract you enter, our legitimate interest in securing the service, and your consent where required. Where the California CCPA/CPRA applies, we do not sell or share personal information and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Because the free planner is local-first, most planning content never leaves your device and stays fully under your control. To exercise a right, email privacy@elegantplanner.app; we may verify the request using your anonymous installation or transaction identifier.
10. International transfers
If Pro billing is enabled, purchase data may be processed on servers in the United States or other countries. Where required, transfers from the EU or UK rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Retention and deletion
Local planner data remains on your device until deleted or the app is uninstalled, subject to operating-system backups you control. When Pro launches, entitlement and audit records are kept no longer than needed for the subscription and legal or refund obligations — targeted at up to 24 months for audit events and about 30 days for operational logs — and you may request deletion of your installation and grant records, retaining only what law requires, keyed to an opaque transaction identifier.
12. Children
Elegant Planner is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect planning content from children.
13. Changes
Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice.
