Privacy
A private daily planner that stays on your device.
Most planners sync your tasks and notes to a cloud account. Elegant Planner keeps them on your device by default — a calm, visual daily planner with no account required.
Why most planners aren't private
Most daily planner apps store your tasks, notes, and schedule on their own servers, tied to an account you have to create. That is convenient for sync, but it means your plans — often the most personal record of your days — live on someone else's infrastructure and are exposed in any breach. Elegant Planner takes the opposite default: your planning content stays local.
How Elegant Planner is different
Local-first storage keeps your tasks and notes on your device. There is no account to create, so you can start planning right away. Calendar access is read-only — selected events appear beside your plan and are never modified or uploaded. And the website itself uses no advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
| How it compares | Elegant Planner | A typical cloud planner |
|---|---|---|
| Where your data lives | On your device | Company servers |
| Account required to start | No | Usually yes |
| Works fully offline | Yes | Often limited |
| Subscription for core planning | No | Often |
| Website tracking | None | Common |
| Cross-device sync | Planned — private, encrypted (Pro) | Cloud account |
Comparison is to cloud-account planners in general, not any specific product.
Is a private planner right for you?
Choose a private, local-first planner if you want personal plans kept off the cloud, prefer to start without an account, and plan mostly on one primary device today. If you need instant multi-device cloud sync right now, that is on our roadmap as an optional, encrypted Pro feature — but it is not available yet, so a cloud-first planner may suit you better in the meantime.
Private by default
Core tasks and notes never leave your device. Calendar access is read-only. The site carries no behavioral analytics or advertising cookies. When optional Pro backup and sync arrive, they will be opt-in and encrypted, and the privacy policy will be updated before anything ships. Explore the planner features or Elegant Planner Pro.
Private daily planner FAQ
Is Elegant Planner really private?
Yes. Your tasks, notes, and schedule are stored locally on your device by default, and core planning content is never sent to our servers or used for advertising.
Do I need an account to use it?
No. You can start planning immediately — there is no email, sign-up, or login required for the free planner.
Does a local-first planner work offline?
Yes. Because your planning data lives on your device, the planner keeps working with no internet connection.
Will my plans sync across my devices?
Cross-device sync is planned as an optional, encrypted Elegant Planner Pro feature. Today the planner is local-first, so it is not available yet — we would rather say so than imply a feature that has not shipped.
Is it free?
The core planner is free with no subscription. Optional Pro tools are planned for later and will always be clearly marked.
